Most beginners start with 1-2 classes per week and gradually increase as they get comfortable.

Safety is our top priority. While martial arts training has inherent risks, we minimize them through:

  • Supervised Training: Coaches monitor all sessions
  • Controlled Sparring: Beginners start with light, technical sparring
  • Proper Progression: Learn techniques before applying them with resistance
  • Safety Equipment: Mandatory use of protective gear
  • Partner Communication: Always communicate with training partners

Most beginner injuries are minor (bruises, soreness) and part of the learning process.

Progress varies, but here's a typical timeline:

2-4 weeks
Initial Adaptation

Basic movements, reduced soreness, increased energy

1-3 months
Technical Foundation

Learn basic techniques, improved fitness, weight loss

3-6 months
Skill Development

6-12 months
Competence

Confident in multiple positions, ready for advanced training

We require parental consent for minors and recommend medical clearance for seniors with health conditions.

In most cases, yes! Many of our members train with previous injuries. Important steps:

  2. Inform Your Coach: Tell us about your injury history
  3. Start Slowly: Begin with modified movements
  4. Listen to Your Body: Stop if you feel pain
  5. Consider Private Sessions: For personalized attention

Common accommodations we can make:

  • Modified techniques
  • Alternative training methods
  • Specific recovery exercises
  • Gradual progression plans
